Reedy Resort

Our bee houses are crafted from durable high quality salvaged Western Red Cedar. They are ready to be stained, varnished, painted the colour of your choice or left to weather naturally.

The Reedy Resort includes 75 large Natural Reeds for Mason bees or 100 Small Natural Reeds for Leafcutter bees.

Natural reeds are varied in size.

These are natural lake bed reeds, hand cut with hole sizes around 5/16" (8mm) for Mason bees and 1/4" (6mm) for Leafcutter bees and are about 6" long. 

Nesting native bees prefer reeds over tubes or wood trays. We believe this is due to the variety of sizes that help the female native bee find her hole easily.

Reeds are easy to open at harvest time, not to be confused with Bamboo tubes which are extremely difficult to open without damaging the cocoons.

These reeds are perfect for spring Mason bees, summer Leafcutter bees and other hole nesting bees and beneficial wasps!
