Home Base

Our bee houses are crafted from durable high quality salvaged Western Red Cedar. They are ready to be stained, varnished, painted the colour of your choice or left to weather naturally.

The Homebase includes 50 tubes and liners which has a capacity of around 250 bees. This is enough to pollinate any small to medium size home orchard and garden.

The replaceable 0.010 thick white inner liner will reduce mite and fungal infestations in the cardboard guard tubes. The guard tubes are reusable but used liners should be replaced every year. A clean and healthy colony is the goal.

There are 3 types of cardboard tubes available. For dry climates the regular tubes are are best, for wetter climates water resistant tubes {1 cent per tube extra} are recommended. Closed on one end regular tubes is also an option ( 4 cents per tube extra.)  select your choice in the "Tube Type" window near the "Add to Cart" button.

There’s a routered keyhole groove in the back for easy installation.
